UA 40-year-old mother entered the pediatric ward of the hospital in Padua and took away her two-year-old child, who was hospitalized, because she feared that social services would take him away from her. The woman, who has drug problems, acted without the doctors knowing. When the doctors, as reported by local newspapers, realized that the child, who was waiting for the results of some tests because he tested positive for cocaine, was no longer there, they alerted the police who started the search. The woman may have taken refuge with some relative. The forty-year-old, according to what has been learned, has drug addiction problems: for this reason her case was reported to the Juvenile Court and to the social services of the municipality of Alta Padovana where she lives.
