AThe eleventh winter season of Giffoni Teatro, promoted by the association of the same name chaired by Mimma Cafaro, is underway. The edition consists of seven events, distributed from November 2018 to April 2019. At the ribbon cutting a historic television couple, who achieved success when they were more of a trio than a duo, and among them was an extraordinary and unforgettable Anna Marchesini, who passed away on July 30, 2016 at only sixty-three years old.
The curtain of the Sala Truffaut of the Cittadella del Cinema of Giffoni Valle Piana will rise on Tuesday 27 November at 21 pm with the “Massimo Lopez and Tullio Solenghi Show”. The two protagonists who reappeared on “Domenica in” alongside the aunt of the flagship network, Mara Venier, return together on stage after 15 years, like two old friends who meet again, in a show of which they are performers and authors, accompanied by the live music of the Jazz Company directed by maestro Gabriele Comeglio. The result is a crackling parade of voices, imitations, sketches, musical performances, improvisations and interactions with the audience. In almost two hours of show, they offer themselves to the audience with the fun and emotional empathy of their unmistakable “trademark”. The show (production Imarts Mediacon) is directed by Gaetano Liguori.
Among the various cameos, the meeting between Pope Bergoglio and Pope Ratzinger, in a hilarious sketch of domestic life, the musical duets of Gino Paoli and Ornella Vanoni and the more recent one of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, which was a hit in the Christmas episode of “Tale e Quale Show”.
The spark for their return to the stage together was struck during the Rai program hosted by Carlo Conti. “It all started there, even though the idea of working together again had been buzzing around in our heads for a while… our friendship and friendship never stopped,” the couple says. “On site, a scenic story emerged without an apparent common thread, a bit like Chinese boxes, where a simple phrase or a single intonation can facilitate the next scene. Fun is predominant, but there are also moments of deep emotion, like the one in which we remember Anna and the applause that comes from it every night seems to never end. Those twelve years spent together have inevitably carved a little bit of each of us into the other two, which is why every night when we go on stage we feel the wonderful sensation of bringing a part of Anna with us.”
The Giffoni Teatro Association offers the possibility of subscribing to the season ticket for the seven shows on the program (the price of individual tickets is 28 euros) at a cost of 155 euros (Sector I) and 120 euros (Sector II).
