Marcianise. The firefighters carried out an intervention in via Petrarca, in the De Felice district. They intervened because a woman who lives on that street had not responded to calls from her family for hours. When the rescuers entered, on the ground floor of the house, the room was saturated with carbon monoxide. There the firefighters found the woman lying on the floor and unconscious, probably for several hours. The intervention required the use of tanks and breathing apparatus. The woman, aged 50, after being taken out of the apartment was entrusted to the health workers of the 118 service who urgently transported her to the Sant'Anna and San Sebastiano Hospital in Caserta in a coma. There she underwent an operation to try to save her life, even though her conditions remain very critical.
