Napoli. In Gianturco there is a large company, Gestioncar, whose head was the entrepreneur Gennaro Gargano, who died prematurely. The company, despite some problems solved by the usual employer/employee compromises, managed to guarantee the salary to all its employees thanks to a solid Automotive contract. After Gargano's death, the company management passed to his sons but, with the loss of the main and only contract, a slow decline began. From the end of 2016 the administration began to falter until last February 2018 when the department head communicated to the employees that Gestioncar had been sold. For a few months the only contact with the new management was an administrative secretary who tried to deal with the requests and the general alarmism and then resigned in October 2018. The employees are completely self-managed, without a contact person and above all without a salary. Attempts at contact by the union were useless. “Yesterday – as Nunzia Catrini reports – we started a strike with the intent of stirring consciences and breaking the system driven by our old boss in cahoots with who knows who… we ask for the help of anyone who can shed light on the issue. From Neapolitans to a Neapolitan… help us make them ashamed!”
