Napoli. On the very day of the International Day of Gender Violence, the State Police officers of the Vicaria Mercato Police Station arrested, in execution of a restrictive measure, a 32-year-old Ukrainian citizen, responsible for stalking his ex-partner. The police officers intervened late yesterday afternoon at a hotel in Piazza Garibaldi, where the Operations Center had reported the presence of a man who was the recipient of a precautionary custody order in prison; issued by the investigating judge of Torre Annunziata at the request of the Prosecutor's Office. Since January of this year, the man had repeatedly approached and threatened his ex-partner. On several occasions he had attacked her and violated her home. Continuous and incessant telephone contacts with which the 32-year-old threatened his ex-partner in order to re-establish the relationship, so much so as to cause the victim a continuous state of agitation and fear. The man was arrested and taken to the Poggioreale prison.
