UA predictive model, developed by a group of researchers, has estimated the possible impacts of climate change on viticulture. The study highlights the fact that the most important wine regions in the world will see their cultivable areas significantly reduced, forcing winemakers to plant new vineyards in previously undisturbed ecosystems, at higher latitudes or higher altitudes, eliminating local plant and animal species. The landscape is made. The landscape is the main document of our history. And like history, it is the product of events, actions, places. But are conservation and protection enough to "make the landscape"? Everything changes, the climate, communities, technology, needs. So it is important to idealize and rethink the landscape, enhancing its identity, specificities and biodiversity. The setting for the SALERNUM WINE FORUM, organized by the Consorzio Vita Salernum Vites in collaboration with the Archaeological Park of Paestum, where these topics will be discussed, is the Sala Cella of the Museum of Paestum, Saturday 1 December 2018, starting at 10,30:14. The event aims to be an opportunity to meet the most important experiences of the wine supply chain in the province of Salerno, for an open discussion on project ideas for the future. The ultimate goal is to begin a process of reflection and planning, which will end with the shared adoption of a strategic address document for the sector. It will therefore be an opportunity for discussion to discuss and share ideas and actions for the development of the territory and its designations of origin. It will also be an opportunity to define and adopt good intervention practices for the mitigation and adaptation to climate change and for the sustainability of wine production. The initiative is part of the “Salernum Vites” project approved by the Campania Region and implemented with the contribution of the European Union FEASR | PSR Campania Region 20-03 | Measure 3.2.1 | Intervention XNUMX.
