The Carabinieri for Agri-food Protection seized 4.869 kg of illegally packaged “Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio Dop” and 9.139 kg of yellow cherry tomatoes held in unsuitable and unauthorized premises. In the province of Salerno, 70 kg of “Mozzarella di Bufala Campana Dop” and various cheeses were removed from the market, as well as 54 kg of buffalo milk mozzarella packaged in anonymous transparent bags (a format not foreseen by the production specifications) and 1.080 eggs without traceability and the required precautions aimed at separating the Dop production lines from those without a denomination.
