Battipaglia. Gang rape and kidnapping in Battipaglia: a 30-year-old, resident in Reggio Emilia, was arrested yesterday by the Reggio Emilia Carabinieri, in execution of a restrictive cumulation order issued by the Salerno prosecutor's office for a series of crimes ranging from gang rape to kidnapping, including robbery and theft. The young man will be released from prison in early 2024 if not detained for another reason. In his four-year 'criminal career' (from 2010 to 2014), the man has accumulated: a one-year sentence and a 460 euro fine for the crime of aggravated theft committed in Eboli on 22 January 2014; a sentence of 4 years and 3 months of imprisonment, a ban from exercising perpetual guardianship and curatorship, a ban from holding public office for 5 years and the loss of inheritance rights and the right to maintenance with respect to the injured party, for the crimes of complicity in gang rape, kidnapping and robbery committed in Battipaglia in November 2010.
