Aversa. They had been studying his movements for some time and knew exactly where and how to strike. And today they went into action shortly after midday. The ambush was triggered in Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Aversa: a trustee of an entrepreneur from a large petrol station company had just completed his round to collect the weekend's takings and was on his way to the bank to deposit them when he was attacked. A Panda in front of him blocked the passage of his car and at that point three more robbers reached him, riding a motorbike: two were wearing full-face helmets, one with his face uncovered. One of the criminals approached the car, brandishing a gun, and invited him to roll down the window. When the man refused, he took an iron club and smashed the window. At that point there was nothing left to do. The victim had no choice but to hand over the bag which contained around 50 thousand euros in cash. The robbers quickly moved away, while the men from the Aversa police station arrived on the scene and filed a complaint with them.
