NGianmarco Gimmelli did not make it. On November 15, after stabbing Claudio Zaccaria, 25, to death and seriously injuring his girlfriend, Ylenia Fabrizio, 18, he threw himself from the first floor of the building in Calata Santa Lucia, in the historic center of Avellino. Gimmelli, 32, originally from Monteforte Irpino in the province of Avellino, passed away this morning around 7,30:XNUMX in the intensive care unit of the “Moscati” hospital in Avellino, where he had been admitted without ever regaining consciousness. His clinical condition worsened in recent days due to an aneurysm that compromised his already very critical condition due to the internal injuries and serious head trauma he suffered in the fall. The testimony of the only survivor will be decisive in defining the causes of the tragedy which is being investigated by the prosecutors of the Avellino Public Prosecutor's Office, Paola Galdo and Vincenzo Toscano. Ylenia was stabbed three times in the throat. In the attached video you can see Gianmarco looking out the window all bloody and then after blowing a kiss to those who were shouting: 'Don't do it', he lets himself fall. Someone below had also tried to grab him (this part of the video has been cut) but had not succeeded. Gimmelli had fallen head first just as he had thrown himself. And he had remained lifeless on the ground for a few minutes waiting for the ambulance. Then this morning after two weeks his heart stopped for good.
