A stone that proved fatal for a 62-year-old from Paolisi, who arrived four days ago at the emergency room of the “Rummo” hospital in Benevento. There the man was given first aid, awaiting further diagnostic tests that should have indicated what to do. The other evening, however, his condition worsened to the point that the 62-year-old died. The family members filed a complaint with the Flying Squad of the Benevento police headquarters and just this morning when everything was ready to transfer the body to the town of origin for the funeral, officers stopped everything. The body was made available to the prosecutor, who tomorrow will notify the notices of investigation to the doctors who treated the 62-year-old and who are now under investigation for manslaughter. An autopsy could be ordered as early as tomorrow.
