The first edition of the Naples Christmas Markets 2018, hosted along the avenues of the National Railway Museum in Pietrarsa, is drawing record numbers. Over 7.000 people passed through the museum gates on its opening day, Sunday morning. Among those present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were the museum's director, Oreste Orvitti, the mayor of Portici, Enzo Cuomo, and the initiative's promoters and organizers, Gianmauro Sannino and Simone Canzano, who succeeded in making the museum complex even more captivating. The parade of the Arquebusiers and Trombonieri Senatore (Arquebusiers and Trombonieri Senatore) was captivating, marching from the museum to Piazza San Ciro in Portici to announce the start of the event. In the evening, parades and dances in 800th-century costume took place, along with the switching on of the lights in the "Enchanted Garden."
In the charming setting of the Museum avenues, among the characteristic wooden houses with quality craftsmanship, the flavors and aromas of the food area with the excellence of Campania food and wine find space. In the background, the imposing statue of Ferdinand II and the breathtaking landscape of the Gulf of Naples. Many children, welcomed by fairy tale characters, elves and Santa Claus, were able to live a unique experience between imagination and reality. The event, sponsored by the Regional Council of Campania and the Municipalities of Naples and Portici, will take place until December 21, from Monday to Friday from 16.00:23.00 pm to 10.00:1.00 pm, on weekends from XNUMX:XNUMX am to XNUMX:XNUMX am.
