Universiade, here is Costa Victoria: multi-comfort giant of the sea

The Costa Victoria will complete the mosaic of the NAPLES 2019 University Games village. The cruise ship, whose contract was signed today, is a 75.000-ton giant of the sea, flying the Italian flag, capable of accommodating up to 2.394 guests in 964 cabins. It is 253 meters long, 32 meters wide, has 12 passenger decks, and accommodates 766 crew members. On board, there are three swimming pools, one of which is covered, five restaurants, bars, dance halls, a gym, a jogging track, a shop area, a theater, a disco, conference rooms, a disordine (a sort of music room), a solarium, and a kids' and teens' club. The wellness area is a true spa, aptly named Samsara Spa, featuring a Tepidarium, Laconium, Aroma Turkish Bath, Rock Sauna, Thalassotherapy pool, and a Tea House. Costa Victoria's cuisine is based on Italy's great regional tradition, with over 100 different regional dishes. Each day, a full menu dedicated to a different region is offered (including Campania). In addition to this vast selection, guests can also choose from vegan and vegetarian menus. Another unique feature of Italy and Campania is the mozzarella: thanks to a collaboration with a dairy company and an innovative steam- and electricity-powered machine, mozzarella is produced directly on board. The starting ingredient is cow's and buffalo milk curd from the Piana del Sele area (Salerno), certified to be of the highest quality. The mozzarella produced is used to top pizzas, as well as being the main ingredient in many of the ship's basic dishes, from fior di latte to treccia, from buffalo mozzarella to stracciatella. 100% of solid waste is recycled on board. Approximately two-thirds of the water consumed is produced directly onboard through the use of desalination plants, which take seawater, remove the salt, purify it, and make it perfect for use. The remaining water is supplied only in low-impact ports and countries, avoiding countries with water shortages. During summer 2019, Costa Victoria will offer a seven-day itinerary departing from Bari every Saturday, exploring Greece, with stops in Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, and Corfu. Due to its commitment to the Universiade, Costa Victoria's summer 2019 itinerary will undergo some changes, which the company is communicating to guests and travel agencies. The tourist packages departing from Bari on June 22 and 29, and July 6 and 13, 2019, have been modified, and guests will be offered equivalent itineraries in the Mediterranean aboard the Costa fleet. Costa Victoria will resume its regular program of week-long cruises to the Greek islands from Bari starting July 20. (
