Looking back at her Facebook profile today, no one would guess that Valentina Casa, the mother of little Giuseppe, beaten to death by her partner Tony Brade while she, almost helplessly, witnessed the fatal beating on Sunday afternoon in Cardito, isn't a committed woman. So committed, she participated in the Action Aid campaign to say No to violence against women by posting a photo of herself on her Facebook profile. And so, while a few years ago she said No to violence against women in the face of love for Tony "the devil," she put aside all her struggles as a woman, becoming the slave of a violent man and perhaps an accomplice to an inexplicable murder and attempted murder. Those of her children, Giuseppe and Noemi, from a previous marriage to Fabrizio Dorice of Pompeii. The 30-year-olds from Massa Lubrense. Tony also has a son, named Enrico, with a previous partner, Raffaella. On one of his Facebook profiles, he displayed photos of himself at the beach with his child and called himself an "excellent father." Now the two's profiles are flooded with insults. Meanwhile, the investigation by the Naples North Prosecutor's Office continues to reconstruct moment by moment what happened in the home on Via Marconi in Cardito, where on Sunday, January 27, 7-year-old Giuseppe was killed and his little sister Noemi, who is still hospitalized at the Santobono Pediatric Hospital in Naples, was injured. Their mother's partner, 24-year-old Tony Essobti Badre, is in prison charged with aggravated voluntary homicide due to futile motives and aggravated assault. A self-confessed offender, he claimed to have kicked, punched, slapped, and even attacked the two children with a broomstick, "guilty" of breaking the side of a recently purchased bed. During the hearing to validate his arrest, which later concluded with the issuance of a pre-trial detention order against him, he also told the investigating judge that his partner attempted to stop him, without clarifying exactly how. The reconstruction of the facts is focusing on the mother's role in the incident, particularly what happened in the two-hour "gap" between the 24-year-old's attack on the two children and the call for help. A medical car from Caivano and an ambulance from Frattamaggiore arrived, but they departed with a yellow code because a simple domestic incident had been reported, resulting in minor injuries to the children. This was a completely different scenario than what paramedics and police officers found when they entered the home. The woman is not under investigation and went to her mother's home in the municipality of Massa Lubrense, where she also resides. Acquaintances of the couple have reported frequent and violent arguments between Badre and his partner, and also that Badre had allegedly used violence against the children in other circumstances; however, investigators have not yet found confirmation of this. The mother will certainly not see her two remaining children for a long time, given that the court has suspended her parental rights. Meanwhile, the location of the funeral for the little boy, whose autopsy was performed yesterday, will be revealed in the next few hours. The funeral location is still unclear, given that the mother's family is from Massa Lubrense. Cardito Mayor Giuseppe Cirillo has said he is ready to organize the funeral, but will declare a day of mourning in any case.
