Naples Court preliminary hearing judge Rossella Marro has indicted the 54-year-old Neapolitan physiotherapist accused of sexually abusing three cognitively impaired minors he was treating at a rehabilitation center in Posillipo. Lawyer Sergio Pisani and the anti-pedophilia association "La Caramella Buona Onlus" have filed a civil suit to represent one of the three young victims, a nine-year-old. "What emerges from the investigation is appalling," stated lawyer Sergio Pisani and Roberto Mirabile, president of the nonprofit organization. "This individual was treating these unfortunate little children and took advantage of their condition to abuse them in a despicable manner. We wonder if they are the only victims, given that we're talking about a physiotherapist who has been employed at a large rehabilitation center for several years." "The courage of a mother who filed the first complaint with the authorities," Mirabile specifies, "has given a voice to the girls who, given their condition, were unable to express their excruciating pain. We now trust in justice, and if other parents have anything to say, we are available." The next hearing has been scheduled for 11 a.m. on January 18.
