Carabinieri from the Pignataro Maggiore station in that town, along with officers from the NAS Carabinieri of Caserta and personnel from the Caserta Local Health Authority, have reported the legal representative of a local social cooperative for possession and sale of poorly preserved foodstuffs, property already confiscated from the "Nuvoletta clan." Following a report from a mother from Camigliano that a bottle of still water distributed to her daughter at daycare had caused a burning sensation in her mouth, the officers, following an immediate health and safety inspection of the cooperative, found and seized approximately 100 kg of food supplies and eight pallets of still mineral water bottles, all in poor condition and/or expired, with a total value of approximately €10,000. The cooking center, which provided approximately 650 meals a day under contract to numerous local schools and facilities, was immediately closed. Investigations are underway by the Carabinieri of the Capua Company.
