Castellammare. A meeting at the Spa for the division of jobs in the company that managed the parking service in Castellammare between politicians and the D'Alessandro clan. A meeting wanted by Francesco Belviso, known as 'Ciccio o' mister' for his past as a footballer and coach but above all brother-in-law of Teresa Martone, wife of the late godfather Michele D'Alessandro and mother of the three bosses who have controlled the illicit business in the city for years. Belviso (among other things the father of Salvatore, the first 'family' informer of the clan) died two months ago due to a serious illness while he was under the protection program. Francesco Belviso's statements are part of the proceedings of the investigation into 30 bosses and affiliates of the D'Alessandro clan for a series of extortions and other crimes committed in recent years in the town of Castellammare di Stabia. In a report made before the prosecutor Claudio Siragusa dated 11 September 2012 Francesco Belviso recounts: “…A meeting took place at the spa which was attended by me, Gino Tommasino (the municipal councillor of the Democratic Party, who later died in an ambush on 3 February 2009), Omissis (another municipal councillor of the PD at the time whose name Belviso gives), a representative of the company with a partner and Cavaliere Renato. During that meeting there was also friction between the company's representatives, Gino Tommasino and OMISSIS, a PD municipal councilor". All this because the political referents had placed, out of four available positions, three people close to them, leaving only one position for the clan. “They complained – continues Francesco Belviso – because while they had made four jobs available to the family, three of the positions had been taken over by OMISSIS, a municipal councilor of the PD, and Gino Tommasino”. According to what was said by the collaborator of justice, Tommasino had hired a person close to him and the other municipal councilor of the PD had hired two brothers (both with criminal records and who for some years had controlled the illicit business in nearby Scafati with other family members and Camorristi - ed.) who were related to him. “During the meeting, Cavaliere Renato – the repentant states – expressed his disinterest in the job and said that he would give an answer later. In the end I asked Tommasino to hire my nephew [...] normal procedure was followed for the hiring”. After the meeting at the spa between some of the representatives of the city government majority, “Renato Cavaliere came to the bar and asked me to go and pick up the 'parking guy' at Cantieri. Renato Cavaliere told me it was an order from Enzo D'Alessandro. I went to pick up OMISSIS, the representative of the municipal company, and took him to the place indicated to me by Cavaliere Renato. During the journey to Scanzano I spoke with OMISSIS only about the sponsorship of the football team". Francesco Belviso then accompanies this person to the place indicated to him and waits for him to return to take him back from where he had taken him. About half an hour passes. Upon returning, “I noticed – says the collaborator of justice – that OMISSIS was in a bad mood and I asked him what had happened. OMISSIS told me that during the meeting with Enzo D'Alessandro he was asked for a gift at Easter and Christmas.
