Enrico Desideri, former manager of the ASL of Arezzo and a name dear to the M5S, could be the one to replace Vincenzo De Luca in the role of commissioner of the Campania Health Authority, after the fiscal decree of November 13 on the incompatibility between the president of the Region and the commissioner. This is the rumor that was circulating in government circles.
But, less than 24 hours after the meeting that should have adopted the revocation measure and the new appointment, something seems to be changing. According to the 5 Star regional councilor of Campania Valeria Ciarambino, there was, in fact, a veto by Salvini's League, which would positively evaluate the results achieved by De Luca. "The true picture of the Campania healthcare system can be seen from the disastrous state of our hospital facilities, from inadequate assistance because it is guaranteed by understaffed personnel within facilities that De Luca has dismantled from time to time to increasingly favor the private sector. Campania healthcare can only restart through a new commissioner structure. Leaving healthcare in the hands of De Luca is equivalent to allying ourselves with the worst enemy of our land. If the League wants to be considered an enemy of Campania there is no better way. The League should choose which side to be on: whether on the side of the citizens or on the side of bad politics”.
