There were moments of panic this morning inside the warehouses of two companies in Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino, where a large fire broke out, completely destroying them. The flames also engulfed four homes, requiring six families to be evacuated.
The firefighters arrived in via Buonarroti and, with no small amount of difficulty, managed to put out the fire. The Carabinieri are investigating what happened and, after hearing the testimonies of those present, they have seized the footage from the video surveillance system to trace the origin of the fire. At the moment, no leads are being ruled out.
