The Blues Cruise with the Venere ship of Navigazione Cacciatori, on Saturday 1st June will depart from the Barricata Beach dock in Porto Tolle at 19,00 pm (boarding at 18,30 pm) and will wind its way from the mouth along the Po di Tolle, we will enter along the Busa del Bastimento, skirting the reeds of Bonelli Island (where the agricultural village immersed in the reeds is still visible), to arrive at the Sacca del Canarin where the river meets the sea, finally returning to the Barricata Beach dock after about two and a half hours of navigation accompanied by the notes of the Blues.
The protagonists of the Blues Cruise opening the thirty-second edition of the Festival will be the duo Marcus Malone & Innes Sibiun. Marcus Malone, guitarist and singer originally from Detroit, after playing at the Royal Albert Hall with BB King quickly established himself as a bluesman of the highest level. He has just released the most successful album of his career, “A Better Man” – Redline records – which earned him a nomination for the final of the European Blues Awards.
Innes Sibun, also a guitarist and singer, was produced by the legendary Mike Vernon (Living Clours) at just 20 years old, and later took part in Robert Plant's “Fate of Nations” world tour.
Together, the two musicians promise an original mix of blues and soul with a remarkable range of variations that draws from the blues but also from the sounds of the West Coast of the 60s. At the end of the concert cruise, scheduled for around 22,00:XNUMX p.m., it will be possible to taste some of the best fishing products and the territory of the Po Delta at the Risto-bar “Olimpo”, located on the beach of Lido di Barricata in the extreme Po Delta: spaghetti with mussels from the Sacca di Scardovari, risotto with asparagus and prawns, fried fish of the day, green salad (as well as water, wine and coffee).
The cost of the boat excursion with the concert is €15,00, 20% discount for COOP Alleanza 3.0, Slow Food and Rovigo Jazz Club members (discounts cannot be combined).
The cost of dinner afterwards at the “Olimpo” restaurant a few minutes from the dock is €22,00.
