Cirielli attacks the PD on the Alfieri case

Edmondo Cirielli, Chamber of Deputies quaestor and parliamentarian for the Brothers of Italy party, observes in a statement: "We've learned from the press that the former mayor of Agropoli, Franco Alfieri, now a candidate for mayor of Capaccio, in the province of Salerno, is under investigation for vote-buying. We're curious," he continues, "to know what both the former head of the National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor's Office, Franco Roberti, now a candidate in the European elections with the same party as Alfieri, and the national secretary of the Democratic Party, Nicola Zingaretti, think of the investigation into the political advisor to the President of the Region, Vincenzo De Luca. "It seems strange," he adds, "especially since Roberti was supposed to supervise the legality and transparency of De Luca's men. From a former magistrate, we expect strong condemnation of any dangerous entanglement between the Camorra and politics. However, we expect nothing from De Luca, who in the past has extolled the fish-fried fish system."
