We have received dozens of reports, demonstrating that the scenes of incivility involving seats being literally ripped from the stands were not caused by any kind of sporting romanticism, but simply by the desire to grab memorabilia to sell online to nostalgic fans. The complaint comes from Green Party regional councilor Francesco Emilio Borrelli and Radio Marte host Gianni Simioli of "La Radiazza." "After the Napoli-Inter match, we reported the uncivilized theft of the old seats from the San Paolo Stadium, which were about to be replaced for the Universiade. A veritable criminal activity involving the receiving of stolen goods that, until proven otherwise, belonged to the City of Naples. The City had planned to donate the better-maintained goods to sports and parish associations, while simultaneously launching a crowdfunding campaign to renovate school gyms for anyone who wanted to legally purchase a booster seat. We will forward all reports we have to law enforcement; the theft we witnessed at the San Paolo is a disgrace for the entire city.
