DIGITA@Fond, a digital lab for neighborhood kids created by DIGITA Academy with prizes from the San Giovanni DIGITAle Hackathon, will open on Tuesday, July 2, at 6:00 PM at the Fondazione Famiglia di Maria in San Giovanni a Teduccio. The lab will provide access to laptops, phones, and printers for kids to take coding courses and develop digital products. "This day marks the culmination of a journey that began with the San Giovanni DIGITAle Hackathon, held on March 15, 2019, at the DIGITA Academy in the Federico II University Complex in San Giovanni a Teduccio. The project involved neighborhood kids and Academy students, who worked together to create digital products centered on San Giovanni a Teduccio, its places, and its stories," says Antonio Pescapè, Director of the DIGITA Academy.
The inauguration will be attended by the Rector of the University Federico II Gaetano Manfredi, the Vice-Rector of the University of Federico II Arturo De Vivo and the Director of the DIGITA Academy Antonio Pescapè and The Jackal who have followed and supported San Giovanni DIGITAle since its birth. Representatives of the Deloitte Foundation and Q8 and representatives of Deloitte Digital will also participate.
