It's happening near the sports field, and public land is being used as a private tomato garden and fenced off as if it were someone else's. It seems the matter was even reported twice to the local police, who apparently didn't intervene because "if it doesn't bother anyone, what's the harm? I know the owner, he's a good person." The residents of Torre del Greco are divided between those who are outraged by the indifference toward the illegal occupation of their public property and those who appreciate the private citizen's initiative.
