The philosopher Aldo Masullo and the director Mario Martone pay homage to the poet Rino Mele: Tuesday 25 June, for the Literature section of the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia, directed by Ruggero Cappuccio, at 19.00 pm at the Made in Cloister – Chiostro di Santa Caterina a Formiello space, a new event of the SE project curated by Silvio Perrella, coordinated by Brigida Corrado and organized by Vesuvioteatro, entitled Feulogizing Rino Mele with Mario Martone and Aldo Masullo. A meeting that wants to be not only a tribute to the poet originally from the province of Salerno – among the latest published books L'incendio immaginato, on the delirium of Giordano Bruno's conscious death (2000), and Moro's body (2001) – but also an opportunity for dialogue and comparison between different languages, which the three guests deal with and intersect in their works. Following the meeting, a pleasant Final musical accompanied by the notes of Antonio Raia (saxophone) and Renato Fiorito (electronics). An unmissable event that sees three great protagonists of our culture in dialogue between cinema, theater and philosophy, embraced by the common denominator of poetry in homage to Rino Mele.
Multifaceted, eclectic, a forerunner of themes and motifs, capable of connecting different worlds, Rino Mele has always made poetry the pivot around which everything else revolves. And the fact that there is a man of cinema and theater and a philosopher to introduce him confirms his undoubted originality. Following, a refined musical moment with the Finale that sees Antonio Raia (saxophone) and Renato Fiorito (electronics) side by side. Antonio Raia, author of Asylum, a CD of solo exploration of sounds dug into the air with the saxophone, has the task of stripping down some songs and then slowly recomposing them. Raia, inspired by Mele's writings, will propose on this occasion a work created specifically for the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia.
The public of the Literature section will be able to take advantage of the agreement with Quick Parking San Francesco – Piazza San Francesco, Naples – for car parking at the price of €5 instead of €8. For information, contact the NTFI ticket office at Made in Cloister. The promotion is valid from June 20 to 26, from 19:22 pm to XNUMX:XNUMX pm.
“A stain to wash, the long tail of a mouse/that black line/around the crushed body. All that remains/on the floor is a little/of shadow, the earth that the vision leaves/when it disappears. You ask me/what beauty is. It is the dirt on the windowsill,/the fear/of falling asleep, dreaming again of my mother/who cannot reach the threshold/and, as if I were spying beyond the door, I see her get up,/coming towards me, coming back/with her foot on the worn step./Beauty,/you said. It is that disturbance of the doves/the air,/a white flight/when the storm screeches above them. To where?” Rino Mele, To where
