DSunday, June 16, 2019, Alessandro Perna will present “In fondo alla caverna”, his debut literary work published by Graus Edizioni. The presentation will take place in the exclusive location of Neasy, as part of the “AperiLibri al tramonto” initiative, which is an integral part of the series of events organized by the Nisida Live Festival. “In fondo alla caverna” is a collection of seventeen almost hinted stories, with strong images that narrate inadequacy, shades of uncomfortable experiences and existences on the margins. Thus the author puts on paper the interrupted lives of young boys, which wind through the alleys and the province of the great Neapolitan city. Stories of violence and desperation, each consumed incisively, in a few pages with raw and cutting tones. The lives of protagonists with anti-heroic aspects are deeply marked by events that make them victims and executioners, united almost by the red thread of inevitability, while they search for an escape route that cannot or will not be found. A few faces that are almost indistinguishable paint a complete picture of the miseries that grip humanity: poverty, anger, abandonment, fear are represented in their primordial state with a tight and pungent rhythm, aimed at forcefully striking the strings of the reader's soul. Alessandro Perna signs a collection with dark, gloomy and authentic hues, which does not hide behind masks, denouncing society and its sick mechanisms without half measures.
Accompanying Alessandro Perna in the presentation of the book will be the president of the Rinascimento Partenopeo association Riccardo Guarino.
