High Impact in Piazza Garibaldi, Vasto and Porta Nolana: Reports and Seizures

Yesterday and today, a joint service was implemented with "high impact" mode by the State Police, Guardia di Finanza, Local Police, Fire Brigade and the Social Services Center of the Municipality of Naples and ASIA, in order to both protect public order and safety and to combat the criminal phenomena and widespread illegality for clandestine street trading and illegal parking attendants. In the vicinity of the central station in Piazza Garibaldi, several homeless individuals were removed. Over 100 people were identified and checked, 20 of whom had criminal records. Fifty cars were checked and numerous motorcycles and mopeds, several of which were subject to detention or administrative seizure. Several people were reported at large, including a man for failure to comply with the mandatory expulsion order with a ban on returning to the municipality of Naples, a 69-year-old Neapolitan for receiving stolen goods, counterfeiting and selling brands and counterfeit goods from whom 268 items of clothing were seized, a non-EU citizen found in possession of 28 bags with counterfeit brands. Three non-EU citizens were identified and reported to the Judicial Authority for immigration regulations. In addition, two administrative charges were carried out for the illegal exercise of the activity of illegal parking attendant, with a related order to leave.
