“I have submitted two questions to the Mayor of Naples and the Councilor for the Environment of the Municipality of Naples to urge more incisive action against marine pollution.
In the first, I asked to speed up the administrative actions to allow the start of two very important works for the sewers and collectors of the Chiaiano hill and to clean up the Camaldoli riverbed, which flows into Licola and constitutes one of the main sources of pollution of the Phlegraean coast; with the second, I ask to continue the institutional coordination work to mitigate pollution on the eastern coast of Naples, not to neglect the maintenance of the pumping stations, to ensure the removal of solid waste from the beaches, to speed up the important interventions on the sewer networks in progress or planned.
We have been carrying out, for some time, together with the regional group of the PD, a political and institutional action on these issues of vital importance for the future of the city and the metropolitan area, for this reason I will ask for a meeting - together with the regional councilor Enza Amato - with the Councilor for the Environment Rafaele del Giudice to discuss the city's critiques and the initiatives to be undertaken to take steps.
