'Gragnano da bere' is coming, a weekend dedicated to the famous 'frizzantino'

«We kicked off Gragnano Enogastronomica, an initiative strongly supported by the municipal administration, with the Cherry Festival and everything is already ready for the next weekend dedicated to another local specialty: Gragnano wine, an easy-to-drink but fascinating wine capable of telling a story and a fantastic terroir», these are the words of the Mayor of Gragnano Paolo Cimmino.

The conference will be held on Saturday from 18pm to 20pm: “Living vis sanus, Graniani pocula bibe”, at the Chiostro Sant'Agostino (near Piazza San Leone, Gragnano). Illustrious guests will be present: the Mayor of Gragnano, Dr. Paolo Cimmino, the National President of the “Fondazione Italiana Sommelier” Franco Maria Ricci, the Italian Sommelier Foundation Teacher Paul Lauciani, the Italian Sommelier Foundation Teacher Luciano Mallozzi, the Headmaster Mary Masella, the Winemaker Vincenzo Mercury, the President of the Italian Sommelier Foundation for Campania Veronica Iannone. The journalist will moderate Marianna Ferri.Followed by show cooking of David Civitiello, Ambassador of Neapolitan Pizza in the World, of Rossopomodoro with fried pizza: two flavors, the classic one (ricotta and cracklings); and a second one with pepper, tomato and basil.

Participation is by accreditation and will involve journalists in the sector, producers, Italian and foreign buyers as well as the welcome presence of citizens. Following “Incontri DiVini” hosted by Gianni Simioli and performance by the Sassinfunky Street Band. Two seminars are scheduled for Sunday: the first from 16 pm “Let's Make the History of Wine” in the Sant'Agostino Cloister (near Piazza San Leone, Gragnano), for 100 children from the elementary schools of Gragnano. Conducted by the President of the Italian Sommelier Foundation for Campania Veronica Iannone and the teacher of the Italian Sommelier Foundation Luciano Mallozzi. The second from 19 pm “The seductive pleasure of simplicity” conducted by the President of the Italian Sommelier Foundation for Campania Veronica Iannone and the Teacher of the Italian Sommelier Foundation Paolo Lauciani, in the Sant'Agostino Cloister (near Piazza San Leone, Gragnano), for 80 people, upon registration. Afterwards Gragnano will host Teresa Iorio, Multiple World Champion in 2015 for the SGT Neapolitan Pizza and in 2017 for the Fried Pizza. During her show cooking, the Femmena e Fritta will be tasted. Popular songs and dances and street artists will make the evening unique and evocative. From 19,30:22 pm the show “Bianche Presenze”, white butterflies, ethereal, elegant, accompanied by white angels in tailcoats transform the city into a magical place, far from time. Figures that dance, fly, amaze and through small pyrotechnics will make the streets a surreal place. From XNUMX pm Ciccio Merolla in concert.

Many producers will also be present at the Chiostro over the weekend: Sigaro Toscano, Amaro Del Rosso, Terre Pompeiane, Brown Spirits Distilleria Italiana Dal 1969, Antiche Fattorie Templari. From 20,30:XNUMX pm, Saturday and Sunday, in Piazza Marconi and via Marianna Spagnuolo, wine tastings accompanied by pasta tastings and many other local food and wine specialties thanks to the collaboration with the Association "Tra cielo e mare" of Dr. Alfonsina Longobardi, psychologist, sommelier and food & beverage expert. The event will also see the participation of: Filippo Cascone from the Cascone bakery, Angri; Alfonso Scarica from Casa Scarica Cooking Class, Gragnano; Massimiliano Malafronte from the Malafronte bakery, Gragnano; Pastificio Faella, Gragnano; O' Presidente, Gragnano. And many others. Participating wineries: Mariano Sabatino, Poggio delle Baccanti, Vinicola La Mura, Cantine Balestrieri, Cantine Federiciane, Salvatore Martusciello.
