AThey had targeted the former printing house of “Il Sole 24 Ore” in the Torre Palazzo district of BENEVENTO, closed for a few years and owned by Luca Colasanto, publisher of 'Il Sannio Quotidiano' and former regional councilor of Campania. They were interested in the machinery inside, to be precise. Last night two Benevento men aged 33 and 39 were caught red-handed by officers from the Flying Squad, while they were loading numerous pieces of material dismantled inside the warehouse onto a van. After having stopped the two thieves, the police carried out a check inside the building, noting that several printing machines had been dismantled to be taken away and that the chain closing the entrance gate had been cut. Not far from the former printing house, the officers then found several quintals of the same machinery piled up in a warehouse owned by one of the two thieves. They were arrested, they will have to answer for continued theft in competition. At the police station, to file a complaint, a legal representative of Colasanto. The arrested are currently under house arrest. In the morning they will be tried by summary trial.
