As entrepreneurs know, it has recently become mandatory for companies to issue their invoices electronically.
Electronic invoicing mandatory from 1 January 2019
La electronic invoicing It does not actually represent an absolute novelty, since some companies had already chosen to adopt this operating system more than a year ago, but from January 1, 2019 This method of invoicing has become the only one that can be done, except for some specific cases that are still exceptions.
This innovation is foreseen by theRevenue Agency It aims to be first and foremost a tool to combat tax evasion which will certainly prove to be very effective, but at the same time it cannot help but make company processes more efficient, also offering them important benefits.
In the first months in which electronic invoicing became mandatory, namely January and February 2019, millions and millions of submissions were recorded at a national level, a clear sign of the fact that this innovation, although it inevitably created some initial headaches, it has taken root well in the Italian business world.
Campania first region in the South for number of invoices issued
La Campania it turned out to be the first region of the South for issuing electronic invoices, as well as one of the first at national level.
According to the statistics presented by Ancot, National Association of Tax Consultants, and elaborated on the basis of the data made available directly by the Revenue Agency, the Lombardia It was the first region for the quantity of electronic invoices issued, which exceeded 80 million in reference to the February 2019 update.
Following are Lazio, Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Piedmont, Tuscany and Campania, which thus gains an important seventh place; making the data even more interesting is the fact that many of the regions preceding Campania boast a much higher number of companies on their territory.
Specifically, in the time frame in question, in Campania, almost 7 million electronic invoices, exactly 6.947.742, a figure which places Campania in first place among the southern regions.
This data is certainly important and is a source of pride for a region which, like the whole of Southern Italy, is often subject of stereotypes, such as the one according to which it is an area where tax evasion is rampant and where companies are little inclined to innovation.
Types of companies with the highest number of electronic invoices issued
Also very interesting is the data relating to the types of companies that, more than others, have issued electronic invoices: among the most active ones, those specialized in wholesale and retail trade and those offering services car and motorcycle repairs.
This too can certainly be considered a fact that disproves a stereotype, namely that the classic workshop is a type of company that is not very inclined to innovation.
On the contrary, workshops dedicated to car and motorbike repairs are absolutely cutting-edge: from a technological point of view, they have demonstrated that they have fully understood this new operational obligation, and it is plausible to imagine that they are equally innovative in their technical equipment, ranging from Tool trolley, article widely treated by specialized companies such as Fami, up to the workbench.
