Kept in a tin box, in the heat, with a rope around his neck only half a meter long, attached to a concrete block and a fixed carabiner, so much so that the animal, a four-month-old pitbull, could not even turn around. Without water or food, the dog was saved by the Rimini State Police who carried out a check at Marecchia park near a seniors' club. On site, the patrol officers of the Police Headquarters, those of the Bologna prevention and crime department and the canine unit with the sheepdog 'Irvin' searched the area, tracking down six illegal aliens. Of these, one was arrested for being in possession of 70 grams of marijuana, the other five, of Senegalese, Danish and Nigerian nationality, will be expelled from Italy. The owner of the pitbull, a regular Senegalese, was also reported for animal abuse, while the puppy was fed by the officers and then handed over to the municipal kennel.
