It started again from Naples towards Capri the cancer patient who was stranded because the Caremar company did not allow her ambulance to board. The woman was forced to board the ferry in a wheelchair: "I am exhausted after the therapy but I accept this sacrifice as long as it helps to find a definitive solution to the problem", the woman told the mayor of Capri, Marino Lembo, who arrived in the port of Naples to follow the case. "We are an unhappy island - says Lembo - because it is absurd not to be able to guarantee our citizens the right to mobility and health. We need to find a definitive solution that does not discriminate against us". The shipping companies of the Gulf have announced for days that they want to rigorously apply the national regulations that prevent passengers from being kept in the holds reserved for vehicles during crossings, a rule that in their opinion also prevents ambulances with people on board from being loaded into the garages of ferries. Until now, however, a 'flexible' attitude had been maintained on the issue.
