Ercolano Lido Angel's is at the forefront of Campania. Volunteers gathered at Lido Angel's to kick off the "Sea Safe" initiative. The event opened in the splendid setting of Ercolano's Borbonico pier. The "Sea Safe" project, born from an idea by Councilor Gianpiero Perna, responsible for marine policies, involves representatives of environmental associations, primarily the Sant'Erasmo Association, in collaboration with the Hippocampus Association, which has strong local roots. The project's goal is to increase beach safety for swimmers by providing a shoreline patrol service with qualified volunteers and sea first aiders on peak beach days—13 consecutive Saturdays and Sundays. This service will be conducted using a special first aid dinghy and will also monitor for potential discharges into the sea. In Ercolano, therefore, local institutions are making a maximum effort to provide citizens with clean and safe beaches.
