The Festival Music Week, the musical event of the city of Vico Equense dedicated to the singer-songwriter, returns on July 19th and 20th. Two projects have been selected for this seventh edition of the Festival which, after having involved all corners of the city over the years, this year will take place in the Piazzale della Chiesa della SS. Annunziata (former cathedral), the terrace overlooking the sea that overlooks the seaside village, a unique and fascinating setting in the historic center of Vico Equense. «Sono particolarmente felice che il Festival Music Week torni all’ombra della Cattedrale, luogo così intimo e suggestivo» ha dichiarato il direttore artistico Enrico Ercolano – La scelta  dei progetti musicali di Francesco Lettieri e Adel Tirant rispecchiano in pieno il percorso che questo festival da ormai sette anni sta percorrendo. If we think, in fact, about the synthesis of the artistic abilities of the two artists, we retrace the history of a festival that has put talent at 360° in the foreground". Opening the first evening with his piano and accompanied by female voice, bass and drums will be Francesco Lettieri, recently acclaimed overall winner with the song “La mia nuova età” at the final of the XXX edition of the Musicultura Award in Macerata, a competition that gave birth to artists such as Simone Cristicchi and Mannarino, among others. Lettieri is an Italian pianist, composer and singer-songwriter. Since the release of his first CD “L'alieno al cinema”, produced by Polosud Records and presented in concert in October 2018 at the Teatro Piccolo Bellini in Naples, recording a sold out, Francesco Lettieri has won the Arezzo Wave Campania and is a finalist for the Pierangelo Bertoli Award, still ongoing. Lettieri has composed the soundtracks for various shows and in 2014 he obtained the nomination for the best original soundtrack at the 48h film festival in Rome, being later awarded by Ian Anderson. In 2017 he received the award for best arrangement at the Ugo Calise Festival. On Saturday 20th July it will be the turn of Adèle Tirant, accompanied by bass, drums and guitars. Adèle Tirant is an actress, performer and author of songs and lyrics. Il 5 Aprile 2019 esce il suo primo disco “Adele e i suoi eroi” per l’etichetta discografica indipendente campana Soter Label con arrangiamento e produzione artistica a cura di Giovanni Block. The songs are written in Italian, in Sicilian (a tribute to his roots) and in French (to pay homage to his heroes: from Serge Gainsbourg to Edith Piaf). Per “Adele e i suoi eroi” vanta le chitarre di Luigi Scialdone, musicista dei Foja, e la partecipazione degli Epo all’arrangiamento del brano “Chiddi chi erumu”. In 2016 he won the award for best performer at the “Ugo Calise” competition and in 2010 he was a finalist at the Incanto Award. The VII edition of the Festival Music Week is organized by the Giovani Menti Association with the patronage and contribution of the Municipality of Vico Equense and the patronage of the Campania Region. The free evenings of July 19th and 20th will both be held at 21 pm and will be presented by journalist Costanza Martina Vitale.
