Sergio Cammariere, Lunetta Savino, and Stefania Rocca are among the stars of the ninth edition of the "Festival Nazionale Scenari Casamarciano." But that's not all. After last year's success with "Dignità autonome di prostituzione," Luciano Melchionna returns with "Italy's most famous brothel" for three consecutive nights, effectively inaugurating the program of events. Music, fashion, and entertainment will also feature, with a photography exhibition offering a glimpse into the future of the Castle and its significance in the community's history. The Festival, promoted by the municipal administration led by Mayor Andrea Manzi, will take place in Casamarciano from September 6th to 15th. This edition will feature many new features, starting with the location, which will once again be revamped. All events will be held in the Castle's cloister, a succession of ideas and innovations that continue the path laid out so far but with an eye already turned to the future. The artistic director of the festival, for the second consecutive year, is Giulio Baffi, for whom "love is the common thread that moves and stirs everything, that keeps the adrenaline high, even in artistic relationships."
“With Casamarciano it was love at first sight,” explains Baffi. “I fell in love with these places and in these places it will be exciting to rediscover their memory. A mission that requires the commitment of the entire community to which I turn to reconstruct the experience of the castle through photographs that the inhabitants of this extraordinary place will surely have. To you I say “take everything out of the drawer.” It will be interesting,” continues Baffi, “to combine in a single program moments of memory with shows with a strong artistic impact, such as that of Luciano Melchionna, with others of emotional introspection. It is art that mixes with life and rises to the sublime.”
“We continue our commitment by carrying forward a festival that has been growing together with Casamarciano for nine years, representing an essential part of its history,” declared Mayor Andrea Manzi. “In this long journey, the Festival has continually renewed itself, exploring ever-changing artistic paths, especially enhancing the places of which the Castle is the maximum expression and which must not only be enhanced but included in a precise promotional program. This year, my compliments to Felice Policastro, an artist from the Nola area who signed the official poster of the festival, bringing a further element of novelty to this edition. A Festival that does not want to be just a showcase of shows, but a place of artistic experimentation that has always aimed to eliminate distances with the public. And the choice of the cloister as a location is clear evidence of this. We look forward,” continued Manzi, “projected to what we would like this site to become for Casamarciano. An ambitious project that, we hope, can materialize as soon as possible.”
