Torre del Greco. Two robberies in Torre del Greco resulted in the arrest of two alleged perpetrators of the Ponticelli and Barra neighborhoods. One of them is in prison, the other under house arrest with an electronic bracelet. Carabinieri officers from the Torre del Greco Company executed a precautionary custody order issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Torre Annunziata Court at the request of the local prosecutor's office against two suspects held responsible, on various counts, for the crimes of robbery and aggravated theft.
The investigation activity conducted by the Operations Section and the Torre del Greco Centro Station has allowed to establish the responsibility of the subjects in relation to the 2 events: the theft, last February 3, in a house in Torre del Greco, of 30 euros in cash and a tablet snatched from the hands of the victim inside his apartment; the owner of the house, after being absent for a few hours, upon his return had surprised a criminal who, however, after a brief fight, had managed to escape also with the help of an accomplice.
In this case, the complainant had told the police that he had not noticed the break-in of the door of the house but that, a few days before, he had suffered damage to his car.
The most plausible hypothesis is that the criminal in the circumstance had taken possession of the keys to make a copy and then put them back inside the car and that he had verified the victim's residence from the vehicle documents present in the dashboard.
– The robbery, perpetrated on May 5th in Torre del Greco, against the owner of a car who had surprised the 2 inside the car and had made them flee; the criminals, who had managed to take away a chequebook and a pair of sunglasses, threatened to “go and get him all the way home”.
During the house search carried out in connection with the execution of the precautionary measure, an agate necklace and 6 replica watches of valuable models were found in the possession of one of the arrested persons and seized.
After the arrest formalities, one subject was locked up in prison, the other under house arrest with the application of an electronic bracelet.
