An awakening with the smell of pizza but above all with the timeless flavor of ancient traditions. The completely original idea was by the chef of Marigliano origins Valentino Buonincontri of the well-known Berties Bistrot who, on the day dedicated to the attachment of the varre necessary in view of tomorrow's Festa dei Gigli, thought it a good idea to pay homage to all the corporations with the "pizza...iola 80035", a soft variant of the meat alla pizzaiola, a typical dish of this day for all the true devotees of the kermesse in honor of San Paolino. Together with his staff Valentino went at the first light of dawn today to visit the various squares where the obelisks stand, bringing a breath of taste and deliciousness.
“An opportunity to participate in one of the most representative rites of the festival in a different guise, certainly more modern but which wants to preserve all the specificities of the case – explains Valentino Buonincontri – A tribute to the Festival but above all to those who, despite the changing times, remain anchored to ancient traditions as a sign of good luck but also to strengthen the bond with the territory. These are – concludes Valentino – the examples that should be passed down to the new generations and that allow us to relive the uses and customs of the past”.
