Neapolitan actor Gino Rivieccio will be the next artistic director of the Massimo Troisi Award, which this year will be held from July 22nd to 28th in San Giorgio a Cremano, the hometown of the late and unforgettable artist. Among the new features, promoted by the administration led by Mayor Giorgio Zinno through Councilor for Culture Pietro De Martino, is certainly a broader vision of Troisi's great genius, one that goes beyond his undeniable comic flair and also embraces his dramatic art.
The competitions have been enriched with additional categories, including best fiction and TV series writing and best theatrical text, thanks to the synergy with the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome and the Federico II University of Naples (Master's Degree in Dramaturgy and Cinematography). The sections "Best comic actor", "Best comic writing", "Best comic short film" remain confirmed. There is time to participate until July 10, 2019.
