“After each murder Cicciariello Russo washed himself with a bottle of Jack Daniel's to remove traces of gunpowder. After the murder of Mirko Romano I was summoned to his house and I saw the empty bottle and I understood that it was him and thinking that he wanted to kill me too I said 'do what you have to do and do it quickly. But he replied: "Don't worry, we've already done it. It's fine like this". It's part of the story of the repentant Fabio Vitagliano, former member of the fire group of the Amato Amato clan. He was a friend of Mirco Romano, the boy from the Arenella good family who became a ruthless Camorra killer in the first Scampai feud and who inspired the character of "Vocabulà" in the third and fourth series of Gomorrah. Romano was killed on December 3, 2012 by his friend Francesco Paolo Russo, known as Cicciariello, with whom they had committed some murders. Today, at the request of the DDA, precautionary orders were notified in prison to Russo himself as the material executor and to Mariano Riccio and Carmine Cerrato, who at the time were the regents of the Amato Pagano clan. In addition to the repentant Fabio Vitagliano, the investigation documents also include the statements of Cerrato himself (a repentant for years) who said that the decision to kill Romano was taken by him and Riccio because they were “jealous” of the charisma that the killer who spoke Italian had towards many affiliates, including the repentant Gennaro Notturno, known as o'sarracino. Tomorrow Russo will be questioned in prison in the presence of his lawyers (Massimo Autieri and Claudio D'Avino) who will try to dismantle the accusations, many “de relato” brought against their client. According to the accusations, Romano was eliminated after being lured into a trap by Francesco Paolo Russo, another killer of the clan, whom he trusted. Mirko Romano's body was abandoned in the street and was found by the police on the morning of December 3, 2012.
