This afternoon, Monday 10 June, the Campania Alpine and Speleological Rescue Service – CNSAS was alerted by the 118 Operations Center in Salerno for an injury that occurred to a hiker on Monte Avvocata, not far from the sanctuary of the same name. The teams and the 118 helicopter rescue departed immediately.
Thanks to the memorandum of understanding with the Monti Lattari Regional Park, the CNSAS technicians were engaged in an operational presence in that area and quickly reached the injured woman who was treated by the health workers. The woman was then placed inside a stretcher specifically designed for these particular interventions to be moved from the point of injury. The CNSAS technicians transported the stretcher to the Santuario dell'Avvocata, where the patient was taken care of by the 118 health team who arrived by helicopter.
