The Multimedia Museum of the Lattari Mountains has been inaugurated in Pimonte, a structure to welcome tourists and enhance the territory

Pimonte. A tourist reception facility and promotion of all the artistic, cultural and food and wine beauties of the Lattari Mountains. The Multimedia Museum of the Lattari Mountains was inaugurated yesterday afternoon in Pimonte, created thanks to the synergy between the Giovanni Paolo II Association, the Mountain Community of the Lattari Mountains, the Regional Park of the Lattari Mountains and the Municipality of Pimonte. There was great participation by the citizens in Piazza Roma for the opening of the facility to the public. The Multimedia Museum of the Lattari Mountains represents an opportunity for the entire tourism sector. It is an opportunity to enhance the history and local traditions of the Lattari Mountains which represent a heritage of inestimable value. Visitors will be able to "see" through multimedia viewers which trekking route to choose. Not only a "virtual" visit of the area, visitors will receive tourist information relating to the territory. In fact, the facility also functions as an info point. Additional services have also been planned, such as free bicycle rental for mountain excursions and participation in naturalistic and cultural activities that will be organized at least once a week. The project has been around for a long time, about five years ago we began to think about a fixed structure capable of welcoming tourists and becoming a point of reference for the many visitors who, especially in the summer, spend at least one day among the scenic beauties of the Lattari Mountains. After many years, what was only an idea on paper is now tangible. The structure, which will also act as a network throughout the Lattari area, represents only a starting point for the enhancement of the area. The museum will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00. For now, a free weekly excursion is scheduled. Every Sunday, the Museum will communicate to users, through official channels, the type of excursion scheduled.
