“A 29-year-old girl died after her car was hit by a load of potatoes, lost by a truck traveling in the opposite direction. The accident occurred on the Asse mediano in the stretch between Afragola and the A1 motorway junction. We would have preferred to be wrong but what we feared happened, that is, that a transport carried out in a dangerous manner could have caused a fatal accident. That moment, unfortunately, has arrived. After months of complaints we can only call for a crackdown, the police must fight this phenomenon with the utmost determination”. This is what the regional councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli says. “Nowadays – adds Borrelli – transports carried out in a manner contrary to the rules are almost the norm. The streets of Naples and the province are crossed every day by vans, cars and motorcycles that transport goods in a dangerous manner, placing them in a precarious position, not securing them safely or positioning them in a protruding manner. In this country people die because of other people's "making do", it's time to say enough before other unfortunate people lose their lives due to other people's incompetence".
