UA local police officer from Foggia is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis after being hit by a motorcyclist last night. It happened in via Capitanata, in a working-class neighborhood of the city. According to what has been learned, the officer was stopped at a checkpoint when he was hit by a motorcyclist, apparently riding a powerful scooter, who dragged him for a few meters. He immediately fled. The officer was immediately rescued and taken to the hospital: he suffered a head injury and fractures in several parts of his body. His life is not in danger but he is currently hospitalized. In the evening the victim also received a visit from the mayor of the city of Foggia. The area is not covered by the video surveillance system but the search for the motorcyclist by the police is still underway.
