Naples. Sergio Grassia, known as Sergiolino, and Raffaele Oliviero, known as O' Pop, had been targeted by the enemies of the Mazzarella clan. And when they were arrested last week on Ardea beach where they were spending their time on the run-vacation together with their family members, it can be said that they escaped death. And therefore they must also thank the Carabinieri who arrested them. In fact, the Mazzarellas, through their connections with the Sicilian clan of the Fragalà had identified their hideout and was preparing an attack against them. This is what emerges from a delicate investigation by the DIA and on the connections but above all on the expansion of the Mazzarellas in Lazio and on the Roman coast. Historical expansion that dates back to about ten years ago through Gennaro Moccardi and some of his relatives who sold cocaine in Ladispoli and supplied the Casamonicas and then through Salvatore Barile “Totoriello” whose name appears in the investigation “Brazil low cost” of last January 30th which led to the imprisonment of the Roman boss Salvatore Casamonica among others. Well in the last few months there was a rift between the Casamonicas and the Mazzarellas due to a beating suffered by some members of the Casamonica clan linked to Pasquale called Rocky by affiliates of the Mazzarellas. An armed clash almost broke out between the two criminal families and only the peacemaking intervention of the Fragalà made sure that this did not happen. Then the arrest of the Catania bosses also thwarted the ambush that the Mazzarellas, through the men of the infamous Giancarlo, “the bogeyman” of San Giorgio a Cremano, were preparing against Grassia (already the target of 4 robberies under his home and a bomb in his nephews’ pizzeria in San Giuseppe Vesuviano in recent months) and Oliviero. The investigators are now carefully following the evolution of the situation and the expansion of the Mazzarellas in Rome.
