“Over the weekend and again today we have received numerous phone calls from tourists and citizens denouncing the shameful situation of the Vesuviana lines. Cancelled runs, cancelled trains, notices denouncing vague and imprecise lack of rolling stock. There are no more words to describe an indecent situation that makes us ashamed in the eyes of the many tourists who are crowding the platforms of the Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Nolana stations these days. Enough with the inauguration of new trains, proclamations, buck-passing between company management, workers, unions and politics”. This is what Legambiente della Campania wrote in a note about the Circumvesuviana. “It is clear that nobody cares about what commuters, travellers and tourists think and suffer.
