“We are very satisfied with the work carried out at the Collana Stadium in preparation for the Universiade. Thanks to the financial commitment of the Campania Region, the new athletics track has been built, the field has been re-turfed and the changing rooms have been redone. The work is nearing completion, the facility is practically ready: only the details are missing. The athletes who will take part in the university games will have a functional structure available for training. Considering that we have loudly requested the inclusion of the Collana among the sports facilities of the Universiade, we cannot help but be pleased to see a renovated facility after years and years of deterioration of the structures”. This is what the regional councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli and the councilor of the Sole che Ride in the V Municipality Rino Nasti say. “Beyond the Universiade – continue Borrelli and Nasti – the Collana must become usable for athletes after July 14. In compliance with the safety regulations relating to construction sites for the renovation of the stands and the light towers, the athletics track must be available. We will also monitor the execution of the works by Giano, the entity entrusted with the structure, which must be carried out promptly, in order to have a completely renovated and cutting-edge system".
