The Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Environment Salvatore Micillo will speak with responsibility for the protection of the marine environment, creator of the #IoSonoMare campaign, promoted in synergy with the General Directorate for the Protection of Nature and the Sea of ​​the Ministry of the Environment, Ispra, the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research and Snpa, the National System for Environmental Protection. "The #IoSonoMare campaign - explains Micillo - was born from the desire to tell citizens about the state of the sea, but above all how much the State does for the sea. It is right and important that the results of the investigations are shared and become the heritage of the entire community". At a national level, according to the monitoring data conducted every year by the Ministry of the Environment, in collaboration with Arpa and Ispra, the average number of objects found per square kilometer on the seabed is between 99 and 77 and the record, with XNUMX%, goes to plastic. The mayor Andrea Buonocore, the councilors, Bartolo Staiano of the control room, civil and military authorities will be hosting the event. The Lega Navale of Vico Equense, Marevivo and Avf (Associazione Volontari del Faito), environmental associations, the Port Authority of Castellammare di Stabia, the Guardia di Finanza diving unit of Naples and the divers who report to the civil protection of the Municipal Police Command of Vico Equense, with the support of Sarim, the company responsible for waste collection in the area, will take part in the initiative.
