at via del Poggio (Colli Aminei) Basic Health District n°29 directed by Dr. Giuseppe Monaco. «We expected a large participation – underlined the Extraordinary Commissioner Ciro Verdoliva – and we had confirmation from an enthusiastic and very numerous citizenry. Thanks to the great work that the entire ASL team is doing, district by district, and the great professionalism that everyone always manages to guarantee». Specifically, 68 pap tests, 93 spirometric tests, 123 visits, breast examinations and 85 ultrasounds, 150 dermatological visits and nevoscopy, 102 consultations and diabetological evaluations and glycemia tests, 76 cardiological consultations were performed. Furthermore, 92 kits for the screening of colorectal cancer were delivered and 38 mammograms were booked that will be performed in the district clinic. "At the end of the day - concludes Verdoliva - we returned home satisfied, with 697 services provided free of charge, but above all with the awareness that we are transmitting an important message to all citizens who receive and participate in large numbers, and - even more importantly - our users are arriving in ever greater numbers also in the clinics spread throughout the territory aware that intercepting diseases, not just treating them, is the first weapon to win the battle against tumors".
