The Naples City Council, upon the proposal of Councilors Calabrese and Piscopo, approved the executive project for the restoration, consolidation, and improvement of safety and usability standards at the Church of San Pietro a Majella. This project is part of the Naples Historic Center Major Project – Enhancement of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The work, costing approximately €2 million, involves making the building safe through consolidation works aimed at improving safety standards, remediating wall surfaces damaged by water infiltration over time, and enhancing the overall interior spaces through restoration of the artistic heritage. The Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape is responsible for overseeing the works. "With the approval of the executive project, the restoration of the Church of San Pietro a Majella is now in full swing," declared Councilors Calabrese and Piscopo. "This is a significant restoration project for one of the monumental complexes in the heart of the historic center, contributing to the enhancement of the entire area."
